An honest home for Vedic astrology, online.
Real planetary positions. Classical, rule-based readings. No AI guesswork, and no upsells hiding in the fine print.
Built solo by Krishna Negi — no technical co-founder, a lot learned along the way.
Built with
care, not
ambition.
Here's what I kept noticing about astrology apps: too many either read like a generic AI wrote your horoscope, or ease you into an open-ended paid chat with no idea what the final bill would be. Neither felt like it respected the person asking.
So I set out to build something gentler. Real sidereal ephemeris data — the same planetary positions a trained astrologer would actually calculate for your janam kundli, never a guess. Real palm reading from a photo. Classical, rule-based readings, with no AI-generated guesswork in between. And one honest price, shown before you pay, with no clock running quietly in the background.
It's still early days, and it's still mostly just me — learning astronomy libraries, payment systems, and database security as I go, with a lot of help from AI tools along the way as a non-technical founder. But Nakshatra is live, and real people are already using it.
If you're a developer who's curious about Vedic astrology, real astronomical calculations, or simply enjoys building something meaningful from scratch — I'd love to hear from you. This feels like the kind of thing that grows better with company.
